Rev. Sharon Mooney
Board of Directors
Sharon Mooney attended seminary at The Chaplaincy Institute and was ordained by The ChI Interfaith Community in March 2011.
She is currently a retired Interfaith Minister and Chaplain living in San Carlos, Mexico, serving elders and the dying as well as others in the midst of life changing transitions in a volunteer capacity.
She has spent her life in study of various spiritual traditions, and often has worked informally as a spiritual companion to those in life transition. She developed a more focused and committed spiritual practice during her years at ChI and began companioning elders and the dying at that time. She worked for a local elder support agency as Chaplain for six years before retiring and moving to Mexico - a life transition of huge dimensions.
Her earlier 25-year professional background is as a Communications Specialist Consultant on Board Development, Organizational Change and Growth, Marketing, and Promotions for small nonprofits.
She is a voluntary development consultant for two nonprofits focusing on youth development: Dynamic Solutions for Youth and Heritage Riders Horsemen’s Association.
