Earth Based Traditions

Dec 31st All Day

February 14 - 18, 2018

This module offers a general, broad brushstroke on a canvas far richer than a 5-day course of study can begin to cover.  In the classroom, students receive an introduction to earth-based traditions: Wiccan, Pagan, Indigenous as well as Eco-Spirituality.  Standing classes taught by Core Faculty further the students’ studies of various spiritual care practices, theological literacy and public speaking.   In site visits with guest faculty possibly representing First Nations in North America, and parts of Africa, students will receive teachings from these sacred worldviews by participating in a Sweat Lodge ceremony and visiting a drumming studio, to celebrate the rhythms of Africa, as an example.

Our modules are designed to inspire, nurture and educate those who are called to serve in an Interfaith capacity in our increasingly diverse world or for those who are interested in learning more about a specific faith tradition.  Our innovative programs focus on a combination of the study of world religions, an exploration of mystical paths and teachings, and spiritual care and ministry skills...all in a creatively infused context.  You can take a single module or up to 3 modules total.

If you are interested in more, the Interfaith Studies program prepare students for spiritual service to people of all faiths & paths.
