The Deep Culture Webpage is up and the Hive is excited to share this labor of love full of the history, current events, past newsletter articles and a comprehensive resource list with topics to deepen our sacred justice ministry thanks to Rika Casseres and Rivka Gevurtz! How do you get there, you ask? If you go to the main page and click on “About”, you will see Deep Culture as the first tab! Please take a look and tell us what you think: https://chaplaincyinstitute.org/deep-culture/

Our next Deep Culture Hive Open Space for current students and recent alumni will be

April 14th 12-12:30 PST. Save the Date!

Racial affinity groups are up and running. We have two FULL white affinity groups that will continue through May. We hope to keep these groups going past our June event, so please email wren@chaplaincyinstitute.org if you would like to join us after this series.

STAY TUNED for a date in June very soon where we will be holding a Panel of Spiritual Leaders followed by a Closing Ceremony where we will come together with other Interfaith groups in hopes of addressing these potent questions:

How can people ‘Chaplain’ our nation through the process of Reparations?

What are the ‘tenets of chaplaincy’ that can be a resource to our nation as we reach together towards seeing reparations happen?

How can Chaplains/Spiritual Caregivers be accounting for racial harms in the systems and institutions that they are serving in?

With faith,

Deep Culture Hive
