Rev. Cynthia Westby

she/her

Cynthia is an ordained Eco-Chaplain and Interfaith Minister who cultivates a large backyard wildlife habitat which is embedded in more than 12,000 interconnected properties that form a diverse web of habitat and wildlife corridors across Oregon connected to parks, natural areas, and urban and suburban greenspaces. Cynthia shares her love of the wild with the community and as a member of her city’s environmental stewardship committee. A storyteller, naturalist, and animal tracker for over four decades, her profound ease in the wild invites people to tap into the deep interconnectedness of all beings. Her stories are of life-changing encounters in nature that have shaped her faith. Cynthia’s master’s degree is in Theology and the Arts. Her spiritual practices are mindful immersion in the natural world and as a Buddhist practitioner on the cushion. More about Rev. Cynthia can be found at http://www.cynthiawestby.com/.
