Join us to explore facets and frontiers of spirituality through an innovative and interfaith lens with the ChI Community.

Join us for the May ChI Talks event, Beauty as Medicine with Rev. Lisa j Winston

Beauty as Medicine – and its role in a creative, healing ministry
Lisa will share her circuitous path to and through ChI, and how she is nurturing a creative, healing ministry and spiritual direction practice. We’ll experience the role beauty plays in healing the soul, helping Self and others come closer to the mystery/sacred/divine.

And we’ll discuss how any creative endeavor: painting, photography, writing, music, dance, gardening, cooking, etc. can be a spiritual practice.

Lisa is a spiritual guide, healer, interfaith chaplain and contemplative photographer. She incorporates creative, sacred, and healing arts, along with her lived experience and prophetic wisdom into her private practice. Lisa is a graduate of Nine Gates Mystery School 2009, the Chaplaincy Institute’s, Chaplaincy Program 2016, and Spiritual Direction Program 2020. Her current work includes her spiritual counseling practice, facilitating Beauty as Medicine Workshops, acting as an academic advisor, student cohort leader, and guest faculty at ChI. She co-hosts the East-West (Virtual) Death Café with Rev. Katrina Leathers and continues to be open to where ever Spirit leads her.

Hundreds of her images can be found for free on PEXELS, and her photo books are for sale on BLURB. Lisa currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two feline companions, Richie and Margot. Learn more and follow her blog at LjW Divine Sight.
