Restorative Justice, Trauma, and Forgiveness – 1B

This four part, 60 hour training will familiarize students with techniques and principles of Restorative Justice (RJ) and Peace Circle facilitation specific to exploring, processing grief, trauma and moral injury and fostering healing and recovery, circle communication and active listening/witnessing.  We will explore, through reading, discussion and practice the applications of RJ to healing and forgiveness.  The class will give solid practice in stewarding RJ circles in a variety of environments including school, home, workplace, prison, community, military, congregation and other places  where trauma might be experienced and addressed.  Successful completion of all four class segments will come with a “Certificate in Restorative Justice and Peace Circle Facilitation.”  Classes must be taken in order of delivery.


1A – March 1 – 3, 2019

1B – April 5 – 7, 2019

2A – May 3 – 5, 2019

2B – May 31 – June 2, 2019

Times:  Friday evenings 5:30-8:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
