Susan Shannon
Rev. Susan Shannon, M. Div, BCC is a devotee of the heart, a Buddhist chaplain, and an Interfaith minister. She has been 'married to the dharma' for over 50 years, most of those years as a student and practitioner of the Tibetan traditions. Susan's greatest love is sharing the joy, buoyancy, and applicability of the Buddha's teachings in accessible language with practical application to the times we live in.
Susan has worked and taught among many diverse populations in varying capacities. She has taught at the Chaplaincy Institute since 2012, also at Sukhasiddhi Foundation and gives talks at various dharma centers and seminaries frequently. Her lifework has focused on bringing dharma to the incarcerated through Buddhist Prison Ministry, providing programs and courses to the sangha behind bars in prisons and jails across the United States.
