Tom Rockwell

Tom Rockwell serves as Chief Creative Officer at the Exploratorium, San Francisco's museum of science, art, and human perception, and is the Founder/Director of Science and Spirit Studio. Since 2005, Tom has led numerous creative projects, including overseeing new galleries for the Exploratorium's 2013 relocation, and serving as creative director for partner projects with the Kiewit Luminarium in Omaha, and SESI Lab in Brazil. His interests include exhibiting the human sciences and exploring the relationship between science, art, and religion. With Science and Spirit Studio, he is currently developing a major exhibition on science and religion for the Kiewit Luminarium, set to open in 2027. Prior to the Exploratorium, Tom ran Painted Universe, Inc., where he produced exhibitions such as It’s a Nano World and illustrations for Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe.
