Susana Brown is an ACPE-certified educator and National CBCT®-certified teacher. She holds a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Psychology and is ordained and endorsed as an Interfaith Minister by the Chaplaincy Institute. Susana has served as a chaplain and CPE Educator in medical centers, trauma hospitals, hospice, and palliative care settings. Along with her work in CBCT®, she brings over forty years of personal experience in contemplative and meditation practices to her work as a spiritual healthcare educator, where her work focuses on the journey of soul discovery and living into our sacred values. Susana is currently the Manager of the Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Centra Health in Lynchburg, VA. She lives with her husband and beloved Golden Retriever in Charlottesville, VA.

Rev. Shannon Horvath Pullen is an ordained interfaith minister, chaplain, and ritualist. She is an experienced teacher and facilitator, with a background in mental health education, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention, particularly with veterans and their families. She enjoys writing, research, and curriculum development, using her clinical and lived experience in service to others. Shannon is interested in the complex interplay of all the domains of our lives, especially the intersection of spirituality and mental health, and creating just and sustainable systems of care that address the whole person. She accompanies people in crisis as they deal with grief and loss and brings people around the table to have conversations about living and dying. She graduated with her Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry in May 2023 and completed an Interfaith Chaplain Residency at the Oregon State Hospital in 2024.
